Puppetry

Matthew has years of puppet fabrication and performance. In 1999, puppets of the Seven Deadly Sins were designed and fabricated for Tim Robbins' film Cradle Will Rock. Oversized puppets were painted for Lyric Opera's 1998 premiere production of €œAmistad€�. His life size horse sculpture was selected for inclusion in an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago) Chicago Artists 1945-1995. His television work includes an all character fabrication for €œPing Pong Prison,€� an Oxygen Network pilot. An image of one of Matthew'€™s rotting clown puppets was used for Viacom music video and games.
