Artist Matthew Owens
lives in Chicago with his wife Carla, four Sphynx cats,a Great Dane named
Diva and an American Bull Dog named Otto. Matthew obtained his Bachelor
of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1984.
He is active in the local art community and was the chair of the Time
Arts Committee at Randolph Street Gallery for many years.
Recently, he won 1st Prize for Painting in the Anti-Cruelty Gala 2002
Animal Art Exhibition.

has performed with his own creations all over the country:
Chicago:
Master of Ceremony at the inaugural performance of the theater space of
the Museum of Contemporary Art. Shows and performances at Randolph Street
Gallery, N.A.M.E. gallery, Cabaret Metro, Millie’s Orchid Show,
and the internationally renowned Club Lower Links (including “Traumarama”,
the
“Cide Show”, “Leather”, “Windy”, and
the “Monster Show”).
